The project will cost $1.6 billion and it will complete within 27
months. The train route will be 27.1 kilometer long, spread from Ali
Town to Thokar Niaz Baig, from Multan Road to Scheme Mor, Chowburji, MAO
College, Mall Road, Laxmi Chowk and Railway Station, from Garhi Shahu
Bridge to GT Road and UET and from Pakistan Mint to Dera Gojran.

It was mentioned in the petition that Orange Line Train project will cause harm to the historical sites in Lahore however, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) released a video showing that the ongoing project would not demolish any historical building or monument and heritage of the city, negating all the propaganda and rumors against the authorities of damaging the historical assets.
The government has found a way to continue the plan without harming the building as the uplifting of Shalamar Gardens and the Lahore Fort is already afoot.
